When it happens
Section titled “When it happens”A passkey belongs to a domain. The page asking for one cannot use the instance’s: its origin is not an allowed origin
of the instance (see origin_invalid), it is an IP address such as 127.0.0.1, or, on a production instance, it is
not on the instance’s domain.
What to do
Section titled “What to do”Use passkeys on pages of your production domain, and on localhost with the development instance. Offer another
sign-in method elsewhere.
