Usage and billing

Plans belong to a workspace and apply to each of its applications. The figures are on Pricing.

A monthly retained user (MRU) is a user of a production instance who, during a calendar month (UTC), gets a session token or an OIDC token on a later day than the day they signed up. A user who signs up and never comes back on another day is not counted. Development instances are never counted; they hold up to 100 users each.

  • Free: 50,000 MRU per application, 3 applications, 100 organizations per application, 3 dashboard members and 7 days of audit log.
  • Pro: 100,000 MRU per application included, then $0.01 for each one above, billed at the end of the month; 90 days of audit log; impersonation, and no “Secured by Zautha” on the components and hosted pages.

Your users can always sign in: no plan limit ever blocks them. On Free, an application that is over its MRU limit two months in a row stops the workspace from creating new applications, until a month under the limit or an upgrade to Pro. Other limits refuse only the change that would go past them (plan_limit_reached).

Polar is the merchant of record: it takes the payment and calculates the tax. Upgrade on the workspace’s Billing page; change the payment method or cancel under Manage subscription there. A cancelled workspace returns to Free at the end of the paid period.
