When it happens
Section titled “When it happens”Too many wrong passwords or codes for the same email address or username. The lock lasts 1 minute after 5 failures,
5 minutes after 10, 30 minutes after 15 and an hour after 20 and each one after it; failures are remembered for 24
hours. The lock applies whether the identifier has an account or not, so it reveals nothing. Retry-After says how
many seconds are left.
What to do
Section titled “What to do”Wait for Retry-After seconds. A user who forgot the password can reset it with an email code.
